Simbu dons the mantle of a director with Vallavan. He will be working under his father, T. Vijaya Rajendar from September. TR had earlier directed him in Kaadhal Azhivadillai, which was a remake of the Tushar Kapoor film, Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai. The film had a mediocre run. Therefore, father and son are being careful that the next project turns out to be a big hit. Besides, Simbu will be working under K.S. Ravikumar in the Tamil version of Patra.
