Simran was working on Kicha Vayadhu 16, which sounds loosely similar to the much publicized Ek Chhotisi Love Story featuring Manisha Koirala before her marriage and motherhood. The film also stars Jai Akash, Boys Manikandan and others. Shooting for most of the scenes is over and a duet featuring Manikandan and Suji Bala was shot in AVM studios in a gigantic set.
