The
neat screenplay and wonderful tunes keeps the
audience gripping. Maybe Navdeep was chosen
for the docile character of Satya. Other wise
he doesn’t offer much. Samiksha is the
usual Mumbai film girl. She comes in the sizzling
songs and looks better in western dress than
the others.
Though
he did Ullam Ketkume, this is the first film
to be released for Arya. With his striking and
unusual looks he keeps the audience gripped.
Any role nowadays for Prakash Raj seems to be
a cakewalk. This one too, which he has done
with élan provides variations in the
character both as a don and as a father to Satya.
The
scene where the softness in Adhi shows the father
in him to Satya is very good. Producer Punnagai
Poove Geetha makes an impressive cameo appearance
as the collector out to rid the town of rowdies
Director
Vishnuvardhan has woven a good screenplay which
shifts from romance to action and to a tale
of father-son bonding but laced with humour.
There seems to a marked difference between his
previous work Kurumbu and this. Hope he continues
this
On
the whole a don story mixed with music, humour
and sentiment.
