Manmathan success story (Simbu Interview):

Simbu talks on Manmadhan's success...

Deepavali release Manmadhan is turning out to be super hit and Simbhu the hero, director and dialogues and story writer was caught for an exclusive interview by the behindwoods.com team.

Question: There is a general opinion about your film "Manmadhan" that it is promoting violence. Is it true?

Simbu: There was subtlety in the portrayal . Although the hero in the film wades knee-deep in blood killing his girl friends, there is not a scene that shows him spilling blood.

Question: Do you think that the glorifying violence in "Manmadhan" is helping out the film into blockbusters?

Simbu: The film industry had to answer for so many people who are depending on it, right from the clap-man to the producer. For this reason film makers are constrained to opt only for films that would get through to the public and fetch money.

Question: What is your opinion about TV programs?

Simbu: Television is a better medium for messages as the viewer does not have to pay every time he watches it. The producers are subject to the law of trends.

Question: Could you differentiate 'Vulgarity" and "Glamour" in films?

Simbu: Glamour is being mistaken sometimes for vulgarity. It is left with the people how they view it. Vulgarity is something to do with conveying bad messages. As I have told you earlier, that the people engaged in the film industry are more dependent on their investments.

Question: What is your next production?

Simbu: I have an idea to produce another one, but that will not be in the near future. Till then I want to complete my assignments with the other producers.

Question: What is your opinion about Love?

Simbu: I love to be loved and falling in love with someone is not a crime.
