Oberoi is back after a long while as Prince.
Nandana Sen, Neeru Singh and Aruna Shields
are the female leads. The movie is directed
by Kookie V Gulati and is scheldueld to
be released on 26th March 2010. Composer
Sachin Gupta has got his big break with
this movie. Sameer has penned the lyrics.
There are 16 tracks in this album. Six
original and the rest remix by DJ Suketu.
O Mere Khuda... Vocals: Atif Aslam
This song will surely be an instant hit.
The music is good and Atif’s voice
makes it even better. The beats are peppy
and catchy. The tune is not new yet the
song will be placed on the top in the
chart busters.
Tere Liye ...
Vocals: Shreya Ghoshal, Atif
Aslam
Shreya Ghoshal begins the song and you
start liking it immediately. Atif joins
her soon after. The tune is not new. It
sounds very familiar to Tu hi Meri Shab
hai and many other recent Hindi tracks.
Atif’s modulations are also not
new.
Yet the tune is good and instrumentals
with beats keep the pep going. The song
will surely be a hit.
Kaun Hoon Main... Vocals: Atif Aslam
A romantic number that pulls at your heart. The singing
is magical and soulful. The guitar and drum beats
enhance the song to a great extent. Not a new tune
but the composition is something that everyone will
like.
Aa Bhi Ja Sanam... Vocals: Atif Aslam
Right from the beginning you are with Atif all through
the song. Due credit to the lyricist whose lyrics
have added life to this song. And Atif has sung the
song in his usual heart warming mode. His rendition
of high pitches is very good. A romantic number that
is going to be very famous.
Jiyara
Jiyara ...
Vocals: Alisha
Chinai, Hard Kaur
A dance track with Alisha on the vocals and Hard Kaur
on the rap. A fast peppy number but it does not make
an impact. A Punjabi based song that was meant to
get you on your feet. The rap is also straight and
not very impressive.
Ishq
Mein ...
Vocals: Monali
Thakrum
Another peppy dance number but this one is surely
better than the previous one. Monali has sung well.
She has done her best to emote the words in the song.
Lyrics are very good and that will be one reason why
the song will be liked by many.
Verdict:
The tracks sound very familiar but will make an impact.
That could be because the tunes are easy to hum and
the familiarity by itself makes you like the songs
immediately. The music director has used Atif in four
of the albums; good choice one would say. Although
it is possible that only two songs will be a hit the
others will surely be listened to at least once in
a while. And more so if one is an Atif fan.
