Peepli Live, a movie
about farmer suicides, opened to a tremendous
response from the critics and public alike.
The movie's producer Aamir Khan screened
the movie to the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan
Singh at his residence at Race Course Road.
The Prime Minister was impressed after seeing
the movie. In a witty tone, Dr. Singh asked
all journalists to watch the movie. He said
jokingly, "It has a moral lesson both
for politicians and for the gentlemen and
ladies of the media".
Adding a note on the climax, he said
that the only way we can rise above property
is to make people come out of agriculture.
Now, with awards in International film
festivals, great reviews, excellent response
from the public and a stamp of liking
from the PM, we wonder what is next for
Aamir Khan and his team.
