Prabhu Deva’s Bollywood film
Wanted will hit the marquee soon!
The case filed by Sushil Gupta against
Sri Devi’s production houses
- Sri Devi Productions, Narasimha
Enterprises and SK Films - was taken
up for hearing yesterday. Earlier,
Gupta had filed a petition for staying
the release of the production houses’
Wanted, which has Salman Khan and
Ayesha Takia in the lead and directed
by Prabhu Deva.
According to the petitioner, the
production houses owed him Rs. 7.93
crores and they should be allowed
to release the film only after all
his dues are settled. On an appeal,
the defendants (Sri Devi, Boney
Kapoor and Surendra Kapoor) stated
that the entire transaction took
place in Mumbai and hence the Madras
High Court did not have the jurisdiction.
However, on the orders of the court,
the actress said that she would
pay or submit a guarantee of Rs.
3.60 crores on or before September
16th.
