It is learnt that Eros International,
which was to co-produce Akshay Kumar’s
Khatta Meetha, with the actor’s
production house Hari Om Productions
has pulled out of the venture. Apparently,
Eros wanted the film to be wrapped
up in a budget amounting to not
more than Rs. 30 crores. When this
was conveyed to Akshay, he decided
to approach other production houses.
However, he was not so lucky in
striking a good deal and has now
decided to produce the film all
by himself and in his own terms.
It now looks like Khatta Meetha
will be made on a budget of Rs.
45 crores as originally planned.
The film, which will be directed
by Priyadarshan, will mark the debut
of Trisha in Bollywood.
