Peepli Live, the film produced by Aamir Khan, has got an Adults Only certificate from the Censor Board. Aamir, however, is not perturbed about it. Sources have it that the actor-producer was given an option to go in for some cuts to get a U certificate. But Aamir was set on retaining the scenes as chopping it down would take away the essence of the film.

Yet another reason cited is that the film will be showcased at the Sundance Film Festival and Aamir did not want the story to go distorted.
