Former cricketer Wasim Akram has been roped in to train Akshay Kumar, who plays cricketer in the film, Patiala House. Wasim, who is mourning the death of his wife, was reluctant to accept the offer initially, but gave in after much persuasion.

A major portion of Patiala House is being shot in London and plans are afoot to shoot the World Cup match sequences in Lord’s and Oval stadium. According to sources, the permission to shoot the film in these prestigious stadiums has been obtained.
