Katrina Kaif was approached by Abbas and Mustan Burmawala for their maiden home production, which is the remake of The Italian Job. The actress initially agreed to star in this film, which has Abhishek Bachchan, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Bobby Deol in the star cast. Though Kat was upbeat about starring in this remake in the beginning, her interest seems to have vanished now.

Apparently, she refused to pick up calls from the producers, who were left in the dark about her presence in the film. Sources close to the producers say that they are upset that Katrina did not offer them an explanation for not starring in the film and they came to know about it only through the press.
