The Prabhu Deva directed Hindi
version of Pokkiri is running into
deep trouble with a financier alleging
that the producers of the film,
Sri Devi, Boney Kapoor and his father
Surendra Kapoor have cheated him
to a tune of Rs. 7.93 crores.
According to the petitioner, the
actress, her husband and father
in law owned three production houses,
Sri Devi Enterprises, Narasimma
Enterprises and S.K. Films Enterprises.
The trio had borrowed a huge amount
from him and did not pay up the
amount that was due to him. On repeated
requests, they allegedly told the
petitioner that it would be settled
before the release of Wanted.
With the impending release, the
petitioner has obtained a stay for
releasing the film. The High Court
of Madras has ordered the trio to
furnish a security and not to release
the film till further orders.
Wanted has Salman Khan and Ayesha
Takia in the lead roles.
