Madhur
Bhandarkar is all set this year for the
release of his movie, ‘Dil Toh Baccha
Hai Ji’ after the much acclaimed movies
like Fashion, Page 3, Corporate in the past
years. The movie ‘Dil Toh Baccha Hai
Ji’ is produced by Madhur Bhandarkar
and Kumar Mangat. Madhur has shown his expertise
not only as a director but also as a co-producer,
part of the screenplay team and also one
of the script writers for |

this movie, which is being distributed by Bhandarkar
Entertainment & Wide Frame Pictures.
The star cast of this movie is one of the key elements
that make the movie much spoken about. It has a beautiful
platter of artists from Ajay Devgan (Naren Ahuja), Emraan
Hashmi (Abhay), Omi Vaidya (Milind Kelkar), Tisca Chopra
(Anushka Narang), Shazahn Padamsee (June Pinto), Shruti
Haasan (Nikki Narang) to Shraddha Das (Gungun Sarkar).
This movie is claimed to be about three single men Naren,
Milind and Abhay and their encounters with love.
While Ajay Devgan is paired with Shazahn Padamsee, Omi
Vaidya wooes Shraddha Das and Emraan Hashmi is perfectly
portrayed as a casanova, who cannot get enough with
women. The trailer does manage to bring a smirk on our
faces but not much has been done on the advertising
side of the movie except a simple trailer. The trailer
does give us a heads-up to be ready for some intense
high degree bold words delivered casually. Shruti Hassan
is teamed up against Emraan Hashmi who was given the
pet name “serial kisser”.
‘Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji’ has eight songs
including a remix of one of the songs, all composed
by Pritam Chakraborty. This team of Ajay Devgan, Emraan
Hashmi and Pritam sure did wonders in ‘Once upon
a time in Mumbaai’, which leads the expectations
off the roof for this movie too. The songs are well
received by the audience so far, not to forget the accolades
Pritam has received so far for giving great hits in
the movies ‘Love Aaj Kal’, ‘Ajab Prem
Ki Ghazab Kahani’ and ‘Once upon a time
in Mumbaai’.
Madhur is well-known for his character portrayals as
they leave a strong mark in the hearts of viewers. It
is hard to quote a few as all the lead characters in
his movies are strongly identifiable. Will that work
the same way when it is a romantic comedy, is something
we would have to wait until January 28, 2010. Post all
the intense stories Madhur brought on-screen, this movie
seems like a venture he wanted to embark on, to amuse
himself. Will this shift in genre bring him credit?
Will the trio Ajay, Imran and Omi prove lucky to Madhur?
Will Shruti Haasan leave a mark in Bollywood with this
movie? There are numerous resounding questions when
it comes to this movie and hope this anticipation is
nothing but an exciting one.
Hope ‘Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji’ spares to keep
our heart’s innocence intact. |
