Imran Khan and Deepika Padukone, Bollywood’s
hot sensations adorn the lead cast, well supported
by Sharmila Tagore, Navin Nischol, Lillete Dubey,
Shahana Goswami, Yudhishtr Urs. The film has been
shot in Delhi, Mumbai & Mauritius.
The movie sails through a beautiful nurturing of childhood
friendship between Imran and Deepika which gradually
transforms into love as they enter their teens. What
begins as friendship between the two from when they
are just four years, starts fluttering as love by
the time they’re 15 years old. The joy of Imran’s
teenage discovery that Deepika is the girl born for
him forms the next move but the movie takes a sudden
turn when Deepika’s innate desire of becoming
an actress is spelt out. Imram still unsure of any
plan lends hands to see Deepika move ahead in achieving
her goal. Their love starts blooming along with their
varied desires and of course differences start tagging
on too.
That’s when Deepika decides on an Australian
higher study plan and all of a sudden, Imran feels
a brake in his pace and starts pondering about ‘what
next’ to beat the long distance break and they
decide to utilize this separation to narrow down clearly
on their plans for the future. Deepika in the journey
of achieving her dreams risks many a times until realization
dawns that any achievement does not hold a meaning
if there is no one to share it with. Meanwhile Imran
realizes that life holds no meaning without any dream
to strive for and there is no meaning in risking one’s
prestige and integrity.
The mistakes they make tune them into fine individuals,
well moulded independently. The wavy storyline sees
them through varied phases playing on their relationship
to finally see them make or break their lifetime bound
love.
Vishal Shekhar’s youthful compositions with
profound lyrics by Prasoon Joshi are creating magic
though it’s the first time the duo musicians
and the lyricist have come together. The musician
duo Vishal - Shekhar, known for delivering hits right
from their debut Jhaankar beats till their latest
Anjaana Anjaani and I hate Luv Storys has not failed
to keep up the expectations.
Break ke baad is all set to hit the screens this Friday
to stir the younger generation and the die hard fans
of Imran and Deepika.
