Kalaipuli S.Thanu is known as the producer with a Midas touch. He produced films under the banner Kalaipuli International. Now he has launched a new production house called V Productions and its maiden venture is the much-hyped Sachein with Vijay, Genelia and Bipasha Basu. Thanu is a big budget producer and all his films have one common feature – extravagance. From choice of artistes to sets and shooting locales, everything is lavishly done. The Gen Next in the family is also following Thanu. His elder son Parandaman is also into film production while the younger one Prabhu is planning a debut as a director in a home venture.
