Rambha stole the hearts of Tamil moviegoers with her uninhibited gyrations and pouting mannerism. She was a leading star in a few films and after the Simran wave struck, she had to be content doing item numbers. She tried her hand at film production with 3 Roses in which Jyothika and Laila were her co-stars. The film made more news off-screen and sank without a trace. Like several other heroines, she jumped to other languages, notably Telugu and Malayalam. Just when her career in Malayalam seemed to be picking up, she is in a hotbed again. The Malayalam producers’ guild has a rule that actors and actresses should not address interviews in television. Rambha unwittingly violated the rule by giving an interview to a local channel.
