Director Bharathiraja recently toured Sri Lanka. He visited many Tamil colonoy's there and learnt about the way of living and the cultural heritage of the place. He also met with the LTTE leader Prabakaran and finalized an assingment to make a film about him.

He has planned to portray the irony faced by the Tamil in the country, and also the mind set of Prabakaran in his film. While he accepts the fact, that he is going to film the Prabakaran story, He deies his meeting with the leader.

No matter what the problems may be, It is a good thing to bring out the undestructable history which prevails in the epic land, so that the world may knew the differecnce. Director Bharathiraja can be applauded for this reason alone.
