Surya was the dashing cop in Kakka Kakka. To essay the role with credibility, he is said to have studied the mannerisms and department of Chennai’s popular officer, Sailendrababu. Now, he is busy doing the role of a young business tycoon in Gajini. For this film, he has closely observed the garment exporter, Tagore Bakshani. Not many are aware that Surya worked in a garment export company (probably Tagore’s…?) before donning the greasepaint.
