The hero of the film is Sudip. The film has been dubbed in Tamil and postproduction work is nearing completion. It was originally planned to be released ahead of another Sadha starrer, Anniyan. Apprehending that her ‘neat’ image could take a beating if Mona Lisa was released before Anniyan, she approached the production team and requested for a postponement. Because the producer has demurred to her wishes, it will be Anniyan first and Mona Lisa next.
