Actress Ramba who was famous for some time in the Tamil cinema industry, doesn’t have many roles to play now a day's. She appears in single song sequences in movies and yet, not considered hot by the public.

Recently her name appeared in the news papers involving her in a check bounce case with producer Maanikanarayanan .

She denied those charges in a press meet held by her recently.

In the press meet, she said that, as her financial status was not right for some time long she had borrowed the sum of rupees 2500000 from the HDFC bank and kept her two crore worth of house as a security deposit in the same bank.

She came to know producer Maanikanarayanan then, who in turn persuaded her to take that huge amount from him for low interest and after reembossing her properties she could repay it to him.

She willingly brought the money from him and when she did try to get back her property, which is now in the hands of Narayanan, she could foresee a plot set up by Narayanan, to obtain her property illegally through the blank check’s and the power of attorney given to Narayanan by her.
