Manikanda in which Arjun is the hero narrates the plight of the villagers of Keerippatti. For those who are not in the know, may we add that this village has not had the local village council elections owing to caste politics. It is the rage of political analysts in Tamil nadu. Now, director Selva has adopted this story for his latest film. However, he has changed the title from Manikanda to Nanba. P.Vasu plays the imposing village headman who stalls the democratic process. It has been an excellent performance by him. Nalini plays his wife.
