Kollywood was once a dance master’s paradise. In a list of dance masters turned actors, dance master Ravi Dev joins his counterparts Raju Sundaram, Prabhu Deva and Laurence.

While his predecessors have either been heroes or comedy actors, Ravi Dev stars as a villain in the film 7½, which has debutante Vinodh as its hero. Dance master Ravi Dev has promoted more than 36 dance sequences for actor Vijay in his films.
