Mumbai branch of CBI had arrested Anees Ibrahim, younger brother of the underworld don, Dawood Ibrahim. Dawood is the prime accused in the Mumbai serial blasts and is said to be in hiding either in Karachi, Pakistan or Dubai. It is now reported that actress Nagma had a liaison with Anees and may have received money through the hawala channels. Police are investigating further. On being contacted, Nagma vehemently denied any involvement.
