Raghava Lawrence’s superhit Muni-2 Kanchana is being remade now in both Hindi and in Kannada. As we reported earlier, Kannada superstar Upendra will reprise the role of Lawrence and Lakshmi Rai will return to play her part again in this version too.

The latest news emerging on this project is that the role of the transgender, powerfully played by Sarath Kumar, has gone to another powerful actor, Sai Kumar. Sai Kumar is known for his booming voice and his contributions as a renowned dubbing artist. As an actor he does enjoy good prominence in the Kannada industry after giving popular films like Police Story.

His acting style and dialogue delivery should suit the character’s requirement quite aptly. Interestingly Sai Kumar too, like Sarath Kumar is actively involved in politics.
