It was reported some time back that Captain Vijaykanth's son Shanmuga Pandian was also keen to enter film industry following his father's foot steps. It was also said that Vijaykanth is personally sifting scripts for his son. 

Now we hear that Shanmuga Pandian is apparently going through an intense training in martial arts and dance to get extremely fit and swift. Captain Vijaykanth in the peak of his career was popular for performing high flying stunts himself and his son too would try and live up to his father’s reputation as an explosive action hero.
