Karthika struck gold at the box office with her very first Tamil film, Ko. After its release she surprised everyone by returning to Mumbai for a period of rest and relaxation. A rejuvenated Karthika is back in Chennai with her mother, Radha in tow.

Radha has announced that she will be listening to scripts on behalf of her daughter and make a decision regarding her next film soon. A few projects are already being considered by her mom and once the selection process is over, Karthika will be reporting on the sets.
