Muktha V Srinivasan has been a beloved member of the Tamil film industry for 65 years and he is still going strong. He joined the famous Modern Theatres in 1947 as an assistant director. After working with stalwarts in the field in those early exciting days of Ellis R Duncan and S Balachander, he made his debut as a director with Mudhalali and even picked up a National Award for it!
In 1962, with his brother V Ramaswamy, he entered production and worked with some of the biggest stars like Sivaji Ganesan, J Jayalalitha, Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan. Muktha S Srinivasan had an illustrious career as a producer and director spaanning more than 50 years. Recently, he started Muktha Entertainment with his brother's son, Muktha Govindan. Word is that he has roped in two of the leading directors of the day to make films for his banner.
The doyen of Tamil cinema also plans to direct a film on dance called India Nadanangal with internationally acclaimed dancer, Priyadharshini Govind. The shooting will commence soon. We wish the best of luck to this great man.
