Major political parties in India, including opposition Congress JD(U), SP and ShivSena, have backed the Army’s move to conduct surgical strickes along the Line of Control. Congress President Sonia Gandhi hailed the surgical strikes and reportedly said, “We stand with the central government in its actions to protect country’s security.” Sonia further said, “This is a strong message that conveys our country’s resolve to prevent further infiltration and attacks on our security forces and our people.”
